Philip Shapira，佐治亞理工公共政策學(xué)院教授和曼徹斯特大學(xué)商學(xué)院創(chuàng)新研究中心教授。Shapira教授的研究領(lǐng)域包括科技政策，經(jīng)濟(jì)和區(qū)域發(fā)展，創(chuàng)新管理和政策，產(chǎn)業(yè)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力，技術(shù)演化與評(píng)估，創(chuàng)新測(cè)量和政策評(píng)估。Shapira教授目前負(fù)責(zé)的項(xiàng)目包括納米技術(shù)研究和創(chuàng)新系統(tǒng)評(píng)估研究項(xiàng)目（亞利桑那州立大學(xué)社會(huì)納米技術(shù)中心的一部分）以及組織對(duì)高度創(chuàng)造性科學(xué)研究的影響項(xiàng)目。Shapira教授現(xiàn)已公開發(fā)表50多篇期刊文章，出版30本書籍，眾多政策方面的研究等。Shapira教授還是佐治亞理工學(xué)院經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展創(chuàng)新論壇的創(chuàng)始人之一，該論壇匯聚了教職員工，學(xué)生，經(jīng)濟(jì)開發(fā)者和決策者，討論經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展和創(chuàng)新政策的先進(jìn)理念和實(shí)踐。
講座內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介：
Research universities are establishing new nodes in global knowledge and people exchange networks through institutionalizing research centers and partnerships outside of their home countries. Over 400 international university research ventures (IURVs) have been identified as part of a research project that is mapping the global development of IURVs. This presentation considers the emergence and institutionalization of IURVs, drawing on a landscape analysis of available online data as well as case study research. Implications and challenges of IURV growth for knowledge production, human capital, international development, and university trajectories are explored.
